The Centering Place
Topic: BORN Store News| No Comments »I recently received a request to donate some products of mine to a notably noteworthy cause. I’m excited to be able to be a part of this event. The notecard was as follows:
Good day.
My name is Ranger Capalini and I am writing you in regards to The Centering Place, a sim dedicated to helping people in crisis, from depression, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and suicide. We offer active support groups as well as self help resources on these topics and more, all on a volunteer basis.
We are celebrating 4 years of successful supporting with an open house on Sunday April 25, 2010, from 2pm to 6pm SLT. We will be getting the word out in everyway we can to make this a great time to celebrate what has been achieved and to let more people know that we are available so that the success of helping continues into the future.
Ichie Kamachi and Elmo Balderdash will be providing live entertainment for the event. The sim will have everything we have to offer on display and our peer supporters will all be on site to discuss what we do and how we help.
We will also be having a Trivia game throughout the afternoon, and an all day Treasure Hunt. We need prizes for either or both of these events, and I was wondering if you would be willing to participate and help us out with one of your wonderful creations, or perhaps a gift card to your store, or whatever you feel might be appropriate. We plan on using copy items, set to no transfer when found, for the treasure hunt, and all no copy items as prizes in the Trivia event.
If you choose to participate, we will have a Donors and Sponsors appreciation board on display (with your logo and LM if you care to provide us a copy) in a prominent location showing your assistance. We will also have a sign with the landmark and info about the open house that you can set up in your store if you desire too as well.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the open house or the Centering Place, or to work out any details.
Thank You so much for taking the time to read about us and our event, and for your kind consideration of support.
Sincerely
Ranger
