I’ve said this before, but I’m really starting back development in Second Life. Logging in now ;)
I have added a RL photography section in BORN that will compliment most sims, houses, and shacks. Check out the images. I’m pretty sure you’ll find one that expresses what you want to express.
Have a special request? Just let me know what it is and I can produce it for a rediculous fee.
Soon I will be adding more works from more accomplished RL photographers. You’ll be surprised what a nice image can do for a wall of your house, store, or club.
Recently I was interviewed by Bettina Tizzy of the blog “Not Possible In Real Life” concerning my SkyBORN_Fly animations that I made (almost exactly) two years ago. She has a lot of great stuff on her site, so its worth checking out =)

Switched hosts, started talking to other SL photographers (rl photography, sold in SL, lemme know if you’re down), getting everything lined up. Getting excited.
Overhauled the wordpress installation to the newest version via http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress
Ready to go :) the first product will be a variety of frames for SL images from rl photographers. Free to those that submit images and get accepted into BORN.
The frames will be 1 prim, shadow included. If you would like to submit your rl photography to get the frames free, please email me at hearme@whyareyoulistening.com

My rl/sl wife BKitty Janus and great friend Sagesse Sautereau sprung a surprise birthday party for me at the underwater club below BORN. Made my birthday the best I’ve had in a long long time. Sooooo many friends and good people. DJs Anders Bailey and Ribe Oh played sets of epic proportions, but then they always do. Thanks hugz and love to all. heres a few pics ;)
Good question.
The website is http://slurl.com/
The title of the page is “SLurl: Location-Based Linking in Second Life“.
What this means is, you can create links for web pages
or for use in Second Life. These links will allow an avatar (you)
to teleport to a location by clicking on the link.
Why this is cool? You can paste a SLurl in group, IM, or conference chat
to invite people to the SLurl-specified location. You could also create a
site or blog making a catalog of your favorite places in Second Life.
Another good reason to use SLurls is that many people turn off the
blue ‘notice’ windows because in busy groups they are uber-annoying.
I just quit the group with too many, but to each his own. Point is, the SLurls
still get through to the group.
How do you make your own SLurls? Easy.
Heres the link to the SLurl builder: http://slurl.com/build.php
Click on that link, the idea is easy. You will have your first done in seconds.
Note: the only fields you must fill out are under ‘Location data:‘.
Once you fill those out (region, x, y, and z), click the ‘Generate SLurl‘ button.
The only thing I can imagine someone would get confused about at this point is what to put in the fields (region, x, y, and z). Well, its at the top of your screen, in the middle, in your Second Life viewer. If you can’t understand this, please click HERE to read more about your fellow dummies.
For those that do not want to go to the SLurl website every time, note the layout:
if the sim name you are in is ‘BUTTERFART’ and your coordinates (x, y, and z)
are 24, 70, 98… then the slurl will be:
http://slurl.com/secondlife/BUTTERFART/43/98/24/
Note that it always starts with http://slurl.com/secondlife/
after that its the sim name, a slash, x, slash, y, slash again, z, and finally slash.
Spaces in the sim name (top middle of your screen) can be tricky.
Slurls, to work with the http methods, cannot have spaces or punctuation.
So, if you were going to make a slurl for the BORN uberstore, it would look like this:
http://slurl.com/secondlife/helens%20pool/110/161/28/
This is called url-encoding. the space from the sim name ‘Helens Pool‘ is replaced with %20.
Many times, if there are spaces or other non-alphanumeric characters in a sim name, it will be easier to visit the SLurl Builder at http://slurl.com/build.php
I hope this helps. If is doesent, and you are still confused, please visit THIS website.
